“You have to learn when life kicks you, because sometimes the beating is what propels you into the place you were meant to be.” – Aaron Chapman
Aaron Chapman shares the hard-earned truth behind building success through loss, recovery, and relentless persistence. From ranch life and mining to financial ruin, a traumatic accident, and a top-ranked mortgage career, his story shows how resilience and faith can turn setbacks into the very thing that shapes lasting success.
Aaron Chapman’s story is one of survival, grit, and reinvention. He describes himself as a collector of people, someone whose success has always come through relationships, trust, and the ability to keep moving forward even when life hits hard. His journey is a testament to resilience and faith in action.
His early years took him from cattle ranching to oil fields, welding, heavy equipment, trucking, and mining before he ever entered the mortgage industry. When the mining job dried up, he found himself broke, overqualified, and unable to support his family, which eventually led him into finance almost by accident.  That transition was the beginning of a long climb. Aaron started in the mortgage business as a telemarketer and eventually rose into the top 1% of loan originators in the country, finishing among the highest transaction closers in the nation. His success came not from avoiding difficulty, but from learning how to work through it with resilience and faith.
A major turning point came in 2008 when Aaron was thrown from a motorcycle accident that left him with 17 broken bones, a head injury, major memory loss, and a negative net worth. He had to relearn how to walk, rebuild his memory, renegotiate with creditors, and slowly reconstruct both his life and his business.  Aaron is clear that beatings are not only physical. In business, they show up as constant problems, broken partnerships, financial pressure, and moments where the entire future feels uncertain. His answer is to keep moving, keep solving the next problem, and refuse to let circumstances decide the outcome. Faith is another major thread in the conversation. Aaron explains that gratitude, prayer, and trust in God have shaped how he understands hardship, opportunity, and even timing. He sees many of the turning points in his life as evidence that unseen forces were at work long before he understood the full picture.
The episode also explores his deeper view of success. Aaron no longer defines winning by money, status, or possessions. He defines it by legacy, family stability, faith, and whether the next generation is better positioned because of the work he did.
